June 6, 2024 saw the successful opening of the 14th International Exhibition for Traditional Fine Arts in Shanghai. The 15th International Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Forum also took place on the same day.
The exhibition was organized by the Shanghai Art Collection Museum and Shanghai Art & Design Academy. It received support from the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, the Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and the Changning District People’s Government. The event brought together representatives from governmental and diplomatic departments, directors of related institutions, and artists.
Under the theme of “Crafting for Innovation”, the 14th International Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts was the largest yet, hosting more than 180 works, including many national treasures from 31 countries, such as China, Japan, the U.S.A, Germany, France, Indonesia, South Korea, Denmark, Czech Republic, Norway, Romania, Ukraine, Slovakia, Columbia, Armenia, and Moldova.
