Grouphorse has landed itself as a level-2 UN Secretariat registered vendor for translation services, the highest level in this category. As the first private company in China to become a level-2 UN translation service vendor, Grouphorse pursues excellence, seeks the best practices to enhance customer satisfaction, and strives to set the bar for the industry.
UN Headquarters
Grouphorse has become a participant of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) on April 10, 2017 at UN headquarters and the second Chinese UNGC member.
As a participant, Grouphorse is committed to making the Global Compact and the ten principles with respect to human rights, labor, environment and corruption part of its strategy, culture and day-to-day operations. Thousands of enterprises in over 100 countries have joined UNGC, the world’s largest corporate social responsibility initiative that calls for concerted efforts to show and build social legitimacy of companies and the market.
Echoing globalization and the national drive to deepen the opening-up of education in the new era, Grouphorse has launched the simultaneous interpreting practice program in the UN agencies. The program helps interpreters know more about the international community, foreign affairs, cultural heritage and diversity while improving their language skills and personality, which is a milestone in Chinese translation industry.
As a flagship component of Grouphorse, Cema Training School of Translation and Interpreting has sent trainees to practice interpreting skills under the guidance of the staff interpreters at the UN agencies for four times. These trainees have been hired afterward as full-time interpreters at Grouphorse or have been working for other organizations after the program.
