On May 24th, the third Sino-German Science and Technology Forum commenced in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, a renowned historical and cultural city and the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. Themed "Creating a new future of Sino-German sci-tech cooperation: mutual support for common development,” the third Sino-German Science and Technology Forum served as a non-governmental platform for exchanges and dialogues between scientific and technological professionals from both countries. Through these, new pathways and models for mutually beneficial sci-tech cooperation in the industry’s changing landscape were jointly explored. Sino-German sci-tech exchanges and cooperation were deepened, while bilateral friendship and mutual trust were enhanced. Prior to this event, the Western Returned Scholars Association held the inaugural Sino-German Science and Technology Forum in Berlin, Germany, in October 2018, followed by the the second China-Germany Science and Technology Forum in Beijing in November 2019. The forums were organized with the intention of establishing a sustainable platform for sci-tech and cultural exchanges, as well as continued cooperation between China and Germany.
