Grouphorse Group’s Center for Translation and Interpreting (CTI) provided quality simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services for all events of the Third Sino-European Manufacturing Forum in London, Cambridge and Munich from June 13 to 21.
Themed “The Belt and Road Initiative and the Future Cooperation between Chinese and European Manufacturers”, this forum was co-chaired by Horst Köhler, the ninth German President and the former head of the International Monetary Fund, and Carlos Alfredo Magariños, former director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
The forum featured events including business pitch sessions with renowned enterprises, keynote speeches, job fairs, investment and merger and acquisition (M&A) meetings, venture contests with top-notch British professionals, and visits to famous labs and factories. It was attended by over 600 people including executives in the manufacturing industry, government officials, entrepreneurs, technology experts, scholars and journalists, among which there were five official partners, 32 state representatives, 41 media agencies, 58 speakers and 523 enterprise representatives.
Attendees discussed topics such as “The globalization of leading Chinese manufacturers”, “Frontiers of the Made in China 2025, Made in UK 2050 and Germany’s Industry 4.0 strategies”, “Sino-European partnerships in manufacturing investment and M&A”, etc.

Aiming at promoting cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and European manufacturers, the Sino-European Manufacturing Forum that is held in every June is a non-profit professional forum that involves events such as summits, high-tech product launches, the establishment of technology M&A funds and “college of intelligent manufacturing” projects.
