Grouphorse provides interpreting services for Summit on Constructing the Shipping and Logistics Center at the Combined Port of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces in Luzhou

Grouphorse’s Chengdu branch provided simultaneous interpreting services for the Summit on Constructing the Shipping and Logistics Center at the Combined Port of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces in Luzhou at the Sichuan Juyang International Hotel in Sichuan Province’s Luzhou city on May 10.

 

This summit centered on geographical advantages and strategic positioning of Luzhou and aimed at generating insights into how to speed up the construction of the Shipping and Logistics Center at the combined port of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces.

 

This summit was attended by Xiao Jincheng, vice chairman of the Regional Science Association of China and a doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Teodor Gabriel Crainic, a professor at the University of Quebec, Stein W. Wallace, a professor at the NHH Norwegian School of Economics, and Bai Ruibin, an associate professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China. They gave speeches respectively themed “Development of Luzhou and the Chengdu-Chongqing Region along the Yangtze River Economical Belt”, “Development of Ports and Challenges of Multimodal Freight Transportation”, “Smart City and Smart Logistics”, and “Promoting Port Operations through Informationization and Intelligentization”.

 

Attendees talked about how to participate in the national initiative of developing the Yangtze River Economical Belt, how to construct this Shipping and Logistics Center by fully using the geographical advantages, and how to promote local economic growth by better leveraging the port logistics.

 

Grouphorse’s interpreters were fully prepared for the summit, and fulfilled the interpreting tasks perfectly, which was highly recognized by the audience and guests.
